Release note 120

We’ve updated Sports Booker with some new features and bug fixes discovered through our support forum. This is an update to the dashboard, the new public website and the older calendar website. The release includes the following additions and fixes;

Dashboard updates

  1. Update to the error message when trying to add bookings to an invoice that have already been paid.
  2. Fix to adding packages to a customer to elect the customer automatically when adding the package to an order.
  3. Added new payment allocation list on the customer payment allocation page to view all historic payment allocations
  4. Fix to the customer list to allow all memberships to be deselected in the filters.
  5. Added the option to provide a free gift voucher to customers who make a specified number of course bookings.
  6. Added the option to provide a free gift voucher to customers who make a specified number of event bookings.
  7. Added the option to allow customers to pay a deposit instead of the full amount when booking activities more than a specified number of days in advance.
  8. Added a new scheduled email message that resends booking tickets to customers as a reminder of a booking for the following week.
  9. Added a new scheduled email message that contacts customers with an outstanding balance for a booking due in four weeks time.
  10. Fix to the financial payment revenue report where individual tax is applied to an order item.
  11. Fix to rescheduling a session to include copying the instructor assignments.
  12. Fix to changing the capacity of a session to include copying the instructor assignments.
  13. Added the option to update customer packages to change the status or change the expiry date.
  14. Update to the booking cancellation policy settings to show the option to use the price band cancellation policy.
  15. Added the option to select more than one activity or substitute activity for each package.
  16. Added the option to reprint simple transaction receipts or email a receipt from the customer financial page.
  17. Added the option to include payment allocations on transaction receipts for credit or single payments.
  18. Fix to the multi-person activity schedule to prevent changes to the end date without cancelling bookings beyond that date.
  19. Added the facility to customer accounts to enable operators to allocate payments to custom invoices.
  20. Added the option to view the accountants report by who created the customer record.
  21. Added the creator and created date of a customer record to the advanced details of a customer.
  22. Added extra continue buttons when making a booking via the calendar to avoid confusion with adding new customer details. 
  23. Update to customer payment allocation to allow negative credits to be allocated to bookings.
  24. Fix to custom order item prices to resolve rounding errors.
  25. Added the option to reschedule a multi-person booking to an alternate time within the schedule.
  26. Update to the customer registration settings to add the option to choose whether you require customers to re-sign the terms and conditions.
  27. Update to the customer list to include display fields for marketing consent, second party consent and third party consent.
  28. Update to the bookings section to include the membership number in the field list.
  29. Added a new time-based calendar on the dashboard that only shows the activity categories selected when an area is shown.
  30. Update to price band booking rules to display bookings per week options as unlimited rather than a zero.
  31. Fix to customer payment allocation when allocating payment to a reservation to update the status of all subsequent sessions in the booking.
  32. Update to the instructions when cancelling a session to highlight that cancelling the first session of a course will cancel then entire course program.
  33. Fix to calendar block bookings to prevent overlapping a block booking with a multi-person activity scheduled in an area that is not part of a venue.

Public website updates

  1. Added new request an activity feature that will allow the customer to send a request to the site contact.
  2. Fix to availability to include times for the whole last bookable day if an advance booking release time is set.
  3. Added a back to previous page button on the order basket after an item has been added to the basket.
  4. Fix to off-peak memberships to prevent the customer from booking at peak times.
  5. Fix to availability to use the correct advance booking days setting for courses and events.
  6. Fix to order basket to remove the pay for my bookings button if the customer has already chosen to pay for their bookings.
  7. Update to login process to select customer records in order of status if an email address is shared by two accounts in a slave membership system.
  8. Added an option to hide the site name banner.
  9. Added the option to display booked sessions to public views to allow a customer to see full sessions in the list of available activities.
  10. Fix to the availability list to change the cursor to a pointer when selecting a time to book.
  11. Update to the terms and conditions to store a log of when each customer agrees to the terms and conditions.
  12. Update to customer registration to include a question to ask for marketing consent and to log when each customer agrees to receive emails.
  13. Fix to course availability to display course sessions that are part of a course programme that has already started but that allow late booking on to the course.
  14. Added the option to upload a custom style sheet to allow a web designer to alter the public website design.
  15. Added the option to prevent customers from booking the same activity at the same time even when taking place in a different location or area.

Calendar website updates

  1. Update to the terms and conditions to log of when each customer agrees to the terms and conditions.
  2. Update to customer registration to include a question to ask for marketing consent and to log when each customer agrees to receive emails.

Membership portal updates
