How to add a course

Courses refer to linked sessions that can be purchased individually, as a block, or both, depending on how you set them up. This can be used for training courses as an example.

1. Go to Settings > Feature choices and tick the Dashboard - Settings - Activities- Courses box.

2. Click Update settings at the bottom of the page.

3. Then go to Settings > Activities > Cources > Add course

 

Name - The full name of the Course
Display name - The name that will show up on bookings
Category - The activity category that this course belongs to
Default description 
Default duration - The duration of each session, this is the default, individual ones can be changed when scheduling
Number of sessions - How many sessions make up the course
Default number of participants - How many people are able to book onto each session of the course, this is the default, individual ones can be changed when scheduling
Booking notice period - how far before the sessions begins it can be booked

Additional booking setting
Allow individual session bookings by customers
 - Whether customers are allowed to book individual sessions or just the whole course
Allow individual session bookings by operators - Whether operators are allowed to book customers on to individual sessions or just the whole course
Allow late course bookings by customers - Whether customers can book on to the course after the first sessions has already taken place
Allow late course bookings by operators- Whether operators can book customers on to the course after the first sessions has already taken place

Use pro rata pricing for late course bookings- this feature will automatically calculate the cost of the remainder of a course if 1) you allow late course bookings and 2) a customer is booking part way through a course
Use course advance booking days - Whether to use the Course Advance booking days rather than the global one.
Advance booking (days in advance) - If the previous option is set to Yes, this determines how many days in advance the course can be booked

Group bookings
Default maximum group size
 - The maximum number of group participants that can be added to each booking. This can be set per schedule if needed.
Allow individual price band selection - This will allow you to select the price band for each booking participant.
Disable group member name entry - Select the number of bookings without entering the group member names.
Enable group member notes to be entered - Allow notes to be added for each group member.
Mandatory group member note entry for customers - Require notes to be added to each group member on customer made bookings.
Mandatory group member note entry for operators - Require notes to be added to each group member on operator made bookings.
Mandatory group member age selection for customers - This option will require the age of each group member to be selected for each booking.
Mandatory group member age selection for operators- This option will require the age of each group member to be selected for each booking.
